Some “traditional” illustrations in pen and ink-

Note: I’ve found a bunch of 1900s pen tips at the flee market and on the web and did some pseudo copperplate calligraphy.

Here’s life nude drawings, 1 min - 10min poses.

3D *yeah!*

9 March 2010 in **NEW Fop Art by admin

Recently I’ve been able to take part in a course for a 3D program. I’m pretty excited about it :-)

I’ve modeled a scenario for a game backstory that I wrote. It’s a 19th century secret laboratory with a huge fishtank (the hellboy influence is obvious, though the story is very different).

I’ve even managed to model the Mer, or fish guy who lives in the tank. I also did some costume sketches and drawings of the main three characters, a female pirate/con woman, an exiled lord and an impoverished samurai with a secret. All three are connected by a bigger story but they don’t know it yet. Each carries one third of the Tomoe and together they go on a journey to solve the secret of the Mer and the underwater temples of Yonaguni.

Long time no see - Grafik

8 April 2009 in **NEW Fop Art by admin

The last months have been insanely busy- if I’d only remember why ;-) People have been clamoring for more art. I have painted but not posted: I promise penitence.

So here is some doodling. I have been playing around with the book illustrations to see how they look with text. And more 1920s feel graphics. Oh, and last but not least the song (and dance) for the financial meltdown, by Mr Gershwin himself.

Some new book illustrations - and with all improved sight - I’ve got new glasses! *yeah*

I find that I rather enjoy painting the morbid or the supernatural.

Go for it! Ausstellung /Exhibition

20 August 2008 in Künstler-Artists by admin

We have an astonishing exhibition in Bremen at the moment. It’s a mixture of very modern, very cool art with objects from the traditional Kuriositätenkabinett/Kunstkammerregal or cabinet of curiosities. A private collector with a fondness for sex, gore and skeletons amassed about 1500 works of art which will be shown in a series of exhibitions at the Weserburg. The recent part is running til the end of the year, don’t miss it!

(The warning at the entrance says: This exhibition might contain art that could hurt the religious or moral feelings of some people.)

UPDATE: The exhibition has been extended until 30th June 2009 or longer (see Weserburg website for details). A catalogue is coming soon!

Find out more at the Weserburg website (in English):
